The BBC reports today on the Norwegian government's designs for a 'Doomsday Vault', a secure installation where millions of seed samples can be stored.

"The vault aims to safeguard the world's agriculture from future catastrophes, such as nuclear war, asteroid strikes and climate change."

Many PA's include a quest to a mythical or lost vault that contains the materials to save the world, such as the frozen fertile female in 2019, After the Fall of New York.
