Terminator 4 (robo apocalypse?) and The Swarm
One confirmation of a title and one new one.
Terminator 4 is now set for a 2009 release and is said to be a part one of a new trilogy! Lots of gossip here. Ain't It Cool is reporting some interesting post-apocalyptic gossip:
The script is said to center on a 30-something John Connor leading rag tag fugitive humans against the machines in our “future”.
Comments on T4?
Second is a film based on Frank Schatzing's The Swarm. Here is a link to the news and here is Amazon's description of the novel:
Whales begin sinking ships. Toxic, eyeless crabs poison Long Island's water supply. The North Sea shelf collapses, killing thousands in Europe. Around the world, countries are beginning to feel the effects of the ocean's revenge as the seas and their inhabitants begin a violent revolution against mankind. In this riveting novel, full of twists, turns, and cliffhangers, a team of scientists discovers a strange, intelligent life force called the Yrr that takes form in marine animals, using them to wreak havoc on humanity for our ecological abuses.
Not quite post-apocalyptic but worth keeping an eye on.
