![]() How did you find yourself in the Philippines? I had a wife and kid here during the Vietnam War. I came back after I got my discharge. You starred in many Cirio H Santiago movies. How did your association with him come about? Did you know him personally? What was he like? I met Cirio when I was doing a film for Cinex. Totoy Torres was 1st AD on both films and told me to come to Cirio's office for casting. I know Cirio quite well. He was very fond of practical jokes and played them on us constantly. I think it was Rick Hill who blew up Cirio's wicker chair as payback. It was always fun working with Cirio. In Future Hunters, your first post-apocalyptic film you played a character called Killer. Do you remember working onthe film? I can't remember that film. We did a lot of those. Always the same thing. Either at a cement quarry or Suba Beach at Laog City. You played a soldier in Equalizer 2000. What was that like? I was just coming off another film with another outfit, and they had a few days left. My buddy Henry asked me to work on that film. I played 2 roles and actually killed myself. In Dune Warriors you had the much bigger role of a character called Thomas. What did you think of your character? No I wasn't Thomas, that's a glitch in the credits. My character was fun. Always be a bad guy and you are sure to have fun. It was fun and hot! Can you tell us anything about your role in the little known PA Eternal Fist? Nothing much to tell... You have a great role in Raiders of the Sun and a crazy costume. Was it a fun shoot? Yes raiders was a lot of fun. I think it was the last film we did with our late friend Bill Steis who died later from leukemia. Did you eve meet Richard Norton? What was he like? I met Richard on the set of American Ninja II, he was a stunt double there. One of the nicest people I have ever met, and a real pro!!! Do you know a chap called Henry Strazalkowski who was in many of the same PA films? Henry, myself, and Steve Rogers are like brothers. Did you enjoy your time making these films? Yes I enjoyed every one of them. What are you up to these days? I work for a company called Branders.com, we do promotional items and branded merchandise. Many thanks to Nick for taking the time to talk to us. |
